Queen is the name of a British rock band very popular in the 70's, 80's and 90's. They are also very remembered for their performances, mostly due to the exceptional relationship of singer Freddie Mercury with the audience. They have sold over 300 million copies worldwide (albums, singles and DVD video releases), making them one of the most successful bands ever. Almost all of their albums were in the top 5 in the UK, and they also had several world hits.
The band was founded in 1971 (in full composition). The first album with a not very inventive name Queen went relatively badly, without a major hit, and by no means heralded one of the brightest rock careers. Already with the second album, things became much clearer, so that in the years that followed, Quinn grew into the leading rock attraction in the world. Quinn is considered the most successful British band in the last 30 years, to this day retaining a huge number of fans around the world. Although often challenged and despised by critics (whom Mercury called "frustrated losers who have never done anything in their lives"), the group is considered one of the pioneers of glam-rock, hard-rock and heavy metal. In a multi-month poll by Channel 4 and the eminent VH1 music channel from 1999, Quinn was chosen as the second largest group of all time, right behind the Beatles.
Due to Freddie Mercury's attitude towards the audience, Queen's performances were sold out months earlier. Quinn has appeared on the list of the most visited concerts on the list three times. For the first time on March 20, 1981 at the Morombi Stadium, in Sao Paulo, when there were more than 131,000 people at the concert. A day later, the concert was attended by 120,000 people. Their last live performance was at Nebworth Park. 125,000 people came to the concert. Their songs like “We Will Rock You”, “Radio Ga Ga” and “We Are The Champions” were written in a style so they could perform it with the audience. During the career of the Queen group, they performed at over 700 concerts around the world. One of their most important performances was on Live Aid.
