 Yes as strange as its sounds it is a real thing. 
But it doesn't taste like tomato soup but like chocolate. 
I am as surprised as you are.

Here are the steps for making this cake:


1. Preheat oven to 180C (350F)
2. Cream butter & sugar well.  
3. Sift flour; measure; resift 3 times with spices, salt.
4. Alternately add dry ingredients with soup-soda mixture.
5. Pour into greased loaf pan.
6. Bake 50 to 60 minutes until cake tester comes out clean. 
7. If you want to frost the cake, let it cool completely first.
8. You are done. Enjoy!
Ingrediance How much
Butter 2 tbs
Sugar 1 cups
Flour 2 cup sifted cake
Cinnamon 1 tbs
Nutmeg 1 tbs
Baking soda 1 tbs
Salt 1/4 tsp
Tomato soup 1 can
Now after finishing the baking you can tell everyone that you ate tomatoe soup cake.
The recipe was created by the Campbell's Soup Company to use with their condensed tomato soup.
 According to the Campbell's Soup website, the first recipe appeared in an undated cookbook probably from 1920s or possibly the 1930s.
